ABOUT THE PRODUCER
The Artists Lounge Live series is curated by producer/performer Michael Ingersoll. Ingersoll won acclaim portraying Nick Massi of the Four Seasons in the Tony Award-winning smash hit JERSEY BOYS. He originated the role for the First National Tour playing to sold-out crowds in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Chicago for over 1300 performances. After hanging up the signature red jacket, he donned a sharkskin suit as a founding member of PBS retro-rock sensation Under the Streetlamp. He toured both nationally and internationally with the quartet, on the success of their multiple PBS concert specials which aired in in over 100 million homes nationwide.
"Performing in popular projects for millions of audience members is both a privilege and an education," says Ingersoll. He uniquely combines his performance experience with a deep-seated passion for connecting people with positive, life-affirming entertainment. As a producer, Ingersoll creates concert events with both performing arts and philanthropic organizations including American Cancer Society, United Way, and Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. His collaborations have raised over 2 million dollars in charitable funds.
Tim Evans, Executive Producer of Chicago's renowned Northlight Theatre attests, “The participation of Michael Ingersoll and his associate artists in live fundraising at our Galas has yielded the two highest live auction grosses in Northlight’s history. His combination of entertainment, audience engagement, fundraising savvy, and sheer charm is now becoming the gold standard in the Chicago arts scene for successful live fundraising. And the fact that Michael believes and expresses his belief in the importance of the arts and arts education makes him authentic and the real deal.”
