Award-winning performer/composer/lyricist Michael Mahler wrote the musicals Diary of a Wimpy Kid, October Sky (San Diego Theatre Critics Circle Award), Hero (Jeff Award), The Man Who Murdered Sherlock Holmes (Jeff Award), Rockne, Wonderland: Alice’s Rock & Roll Adventure, How Can You Run with a Shell on Your Back?, and others. His songs have been performed in concerts and showcases around the globe including an evening at the Kennedy Center. Mahler contributed additional lyrics to the London and Broadway revivals of Miss Saigon, and served as premiere English lyricist for Boublil and Schönberg’s La Revolution Francaise. Acting credits include starring in Chicago productions of Little Shop of Horrors, Honeymoon in Vegas, The Producers, Hank Williams: Lost Highway, They’re Playing Our Song, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Working. Music Director credits include Parade, Joseph…, The Music Man, Hot Mikado, Road Show, My Fair Lady, and White Christmas. Concerts include: Silly Love Songs: The Paul McCartney Collection.
