Chuck Larkin

Chuck Larkin is an award-winning arranger/composer, pianist, music director, and cabaret artist.He spent seven years serving as Associate Conductor and Keyboard player for the Broadway hit Jersey Boys in both the Broadway in Chicago and First National Tour companies. Chicago Music Director credits include world premieres of Mr Dickens' Hat and Shining Lives, as well as A Civil War Christmas, Wit's End, Far From Heaven, and New Faces of 1956. Regionally, he spent  three seasons as Musical Director of American Folklore Theatre (Northern Sky) in Door County, WI, and three seasons was as a pianist/conductor at Opryland USA in Nashville, TN. A renowned Cabaret artist, Larkin has performed in dozens of cabaret and concert venues in Chicago and nationally. He has toured extensively with several Artists Lounge Live concerts, including Merry Christmas Darling: Heidi Kettenring Sings Karen Carpenter and Get Happy: Angela Ingersoll Sings Judy Garland, as well as touring with Franc D'Ambrosio's Broadway Cabaret series. Composing credits include the award-winning River's End with playwright/lyricist Cheryl Coons, which played NAMT and NYMF, and was awarded ASCAP’s Harold Arlen Award and the Bay Area Critics Circle Award for ‘Best Original Score.’ Larkin's solo songwriting showcase Keep Me In Love was named Chicago’s #1 “After Dark” Cabaret Show. He's appeared as a featured songwriter in the ASCAP/MAC New York showcase, Chicago Humanities Festival, and in Michael Feinstein’s “Now & Then” tribute to Irving Berlin at Carnegie Hall. Larkin studied Commercial Music (Composition/Arranging Concentration, Vocal/Piano principal) at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, and Commercial Music (Piano principal) at Millikin University, Decatur, IL.
